Notes on a Program

com98posterDear Visitor, welcome to the Advanced Dance Theater Group of Beverly Hills High School, Company '98 web page.  The dramatic poster/program cover features company members Maggie Shamdasani, Ben Levy (on left) and Darrin Wright. The photographer was Rose Eichenbaum and the graphics were done by company alumna Jennifer Logan.

This year "The Company" highlights include energetic guest choreographers Frit and Frat Fuller, directors of Kin Dance Company, who created a unique dance using ropes. Artistic Director Janet Roston
presents two works: a retelling of the folk tale "Queen Cat" and a Lindy Hop piece. Alumni choreographer Rachael Robbins has created a physically demanding piece inspired by athletics.

Letter from Leo
Dear Company,
The following are some of the many thoughts that have been coming to me in the past three days. This also contains what I had wanted to say at the Cast Party. This time Leo is being serious and not joking around, so listen up.
Each and every one of you has a flame burning bright inside. In Company, I had the amazing experience of seeing those flames grow brighter and brighter. Each day I would feel more honored for being among you all. Your gracious talents and spectacular personalities were the drive that kept me looking forward for rehearsals. Even if it was just "the the closing of Folktale," or when I came back from Brazil on that Saturday morning and dragged myself to rehearsal, I always had a great time and will always miss those special moments.
Whenever I wasn't on stage or in the greenroom, I'd watch whoever was on stage. With great admiration I saw the lights reflecting off of everyone's eyes. I couldn't help but wonder how many more lights will shine off of your eyes. Wherever life takes you, I know each and every one of you will be successful, because I've seen how much motivation and spirit you have.
Please remember to live your life to the fullest because you only get one chance at it. "Today is the first day of the rest of our lives." Make every minute count. You are all very special, very talented people. I love you all very much. You will always remain in my heart.
Thank you for playing a major role in my life. Thank you for being true to yourselves. And most important of all: Thank you for having FUN!
Follow your hearts, your dreams, and be true to yourselves.
       I LOVE YOU,
Leo Fialho
